lifesavings 24/25

I decided to see how much money you could really save by using coupons. Just for the hey of it.
I have heard a whole lot of testimonies about the power of a good coupon, so full throttle I went, searching the internet for every printable deal that looked half decent and the paper for whatever else I could find. Yesterday (August 2nd), I ventured out to try my "new" way of grocery shopping. I ended up getting 20 bags of groceries for under $100 and saving about $90 dollars with all of my coupons and deals I researched. Whatdya know? I'm hooked. If you don't grocery shop this probably doesn't mean anything to you, but there are coupons to be found for resturaunts as well so don't snub just yet.
So what if you aren't even in dire need of extra cash or if you don't have a reason to cut corners, it's kind of fun challenging your regular way of doing things. Why not cut a few holes in your newspaper and save some money for a kid that needs it in a family with AIDS?

I gave blood!
I realize that this is not a glamorous thing to do or even a fun post to read, but for me, it's a meaningful accomplishment. I won't go the cheezy route and be predictable by telling you some heart wrenching story to convice you to give something only you can to save a life because I know that just by looking at these pictures you already have enough vivid imagery (maybe even memories) in your own mind of what it means and why it matters.
You can imagine where my mind wandered to and the faces I saw as I watched the needle go in my husbands' arm and mine....that said, the bloodmobile crew was very fun and I left with an armful of goodies that screamed proudly "blood doner"!

I could go on and on about this one particular "new" experience, but I'll keep it short. The end.

Love,
BC

p.s. If you would like all of my info for "strategic shopping" shoot me a message, there's a method! Trust me!
p.s.s. I'm so grateful for the comments, messages, emails, likes, cools, and interesings that you all have been sending my way! Keep em' coming, pretty please!!

Our church collects coupons to help when they are buying and filling the shelves for the weekly food pantry for the needy. I don't ever keep mine organized enough to use, but I will definitely clip them for the purpose of the food pantry.
