alone time *15

My bffs for the night.

Today I made a trip to my parents house to spend some time with them.

When I got here the first thing I did was go to my Dad's church and get alone with God.
The silence was mesmerizing and astounding. I haven't been "alone" in what feels like forever, and to begin to try to tell you how therapeutic and lovely this was for me would be impossible and a terrible injustice.

I wrote some, prayed some, and more. We had a blast together.

Love, BC

I hope this particular blog inspires you to discover something new in the silence of an open room and the presence of an awesome God. To quote a book I saw today, "Be still and let your nail polish dry!". Ha!

If you comment I will leave a private excerpt from one of my journals in my next blog! I know you're reading, so tell me something interesting!

I , too, try to spend LOTS of alone time in my backyard at night with a blanket, a flashlight and my word. I dont know, there's just something about that peaceful night sky that makes me want to just camp outside and spend all my nights conversing with Him (not in a crazy way, of course, haha)! It makes me smile just thinking about it. Crazy, I know.

Just thought I'd share.

Hey Pastor Bethany. I have really enjoyed seeing your posts...well mostly a little jealous of them I admmit. I feel like I have this huge list of things in my head that I know God wants me to try...well anyways you know how life is. One of the most important things I have been trying out lately is not "hurrying my life." If that makes sense. The next step is always there to make it seems and sometimes I want to just stop and "try something new" as you would say. This post was probably too long but thought I should put a comment since... well, I have been reading.
